Recently we helped a client resolve a printing problem that your company might be struggling with.
Issue: When printing from Outlook, print job fails, Outlook crashes, and any printing from Office causes the app to crash.
What we tried: Office repair, removing the print drivers and re-adding, mapping the printer locally. All of these resolved the issue temporarily, but the problem would reoccur.
What fixed this: Disabling the printer status notification.
