One thing we learned from this year’s Microsoft Worldwide Partners Conference—this is going to be a big year for Microsoft and Microsoft Partners (like us). On the horizon Microsoft plans to release Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 and simplified Office 365 billing. As Microsoft COO Kevin Turner made clear “…we intend to have a continuous cloud server for every device, every person and every business…on the planet.”
Some more highlights from WPC12:
- Cloud business has grown more than 100% in the past year
- SQL Server is the worldwide unit share leader today in the database market
- Over 50% of desktop PCs use Windows 7
- Customer satisfaction is at an all time high across every audience.
As Turner said, “It’s going to be a lot of fun the next 12 months, ladies and gentlemen. I’m looking for it. I hope you are too.” We are!
